SSenStone's proprietary OTAC technology has expanded its reach from the financial sector to public and defence domains, national infrastructure, and industrial sites. By overcoming the limitations of traditional user authentication methods, OTAC has proven its competitiveness and versatility across these wide-ranging fields.

In industrial OT environments in particular, the technology has garnered significant attention for its ability to bolster user authentication and access control without the need to replace existing equipment or alter system configurations. By successfully deploying the solution at various industrial sites—including the monitoring and control facilities of the Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) and a global energy solutions provider—SSenStone has played a pivotal role in establishing a digital trust framework for national infrastructure and industrial operations.

This technological edge is driven by relentless research and development. Through its dedicated corporate R&D centre, SSenStone has sustained robust investment, filing approximately 250 patents domestically and internationally, while securing various national certifications and R&D projects. Building on this foundation, the company has successfully applied its technology to high-profile projects such as the Republic of Korea Army Headquarters' 'Milipass', Toss Bank, Kakao Bank, Peruri (Indonesian Mint) e-Stamp and Digital ID initiatives, and the Indonesian National Tax Service. This track record firmly establishes the global competitiveness of Korea's authentication security technology.

Chang-hun Yoo, CEO of SSenStone, stated, "With the acceleration of digital transformation and AI, the focus is no longer solely on protecting systems; the ability to reliably authenticate users before any action is executed has become paramount." He added, "Leveraging our proprietary technology, we will continue to build secure digital trust environments across the financial, public, and industrial sectors, whilst elevating the global standing of Korea's authentication security technology."

The Information Security Merit Award is a government commendation bestowed upon individuals and organisations that have significantly contributed to the advancement of information security technology, industry development, and the enhancement of the nation's overall cybersecurity posture.
